For the first time I noticed a X allowing for a post to be deleted. But the rider is that this must be done quickly as it disappears. Don't know when.

Try it next time you double post.

I'm surprised. All I can say is that all the documentation, etc. that I can find says that you should not be seeing an X that will allow you to delete a post.

For a moment, when I first read your post, I thought you might have been promoted to Galaxy-wide Moderator for the entire Milky Way.

I think sandclan might be onto something.

Either that or maybe TD was dreaming about ballots for the next Oliver election and all he saw was X's beside his name.

Well I thought that - that I had been made a moderator for a minute or two.

The possibility of eliminating your own post within five minutes would be a great feature.

I understand why the general rule is not a good idea - we used to have a board where you could eliminate an early post and all that followed made no sense because you couldn't see what started it.

Beat me to it, TD. Yes, that is the problem.

Permissions on this version of phpBB (I haven't checked the latest version for that yet) are all or nothing. You can either Delete any post you ever made. Or none at all.
