Congratulations on your retirement. Sit back and relax, enjoy.

Sandclan

It's been almost a week since your last day of work.

I'm sure by now you're getting bored, or Mrs. Sandclan has such a long tp do list, you almost wish you could go back to work.

Here's something to occupy your spare time, and it will keep your mind and your hands active.

Have fun!

Thanks John....I used to play golf years ago before I tore out my back.
Now...I just watch it, or caddy for others.

Hey Sandclan.... I can see why you chose to take early retirement out here! This weather's perfect! All settled in Deep Cove now. Haven't had a chance to listen to much radio yet....

Happy retirement sandclan.

If you run out of things to occupy your time, I'm sure Eldon and Roxy would take you along on their radio listening adventures. I'd bet the wife would like to have you out of her hair for a few hours every now and then too.

Enjoy yourself.

But one word of warning. There is a rumour going around that West Edmonton Mall is one of your first retirement stops.

Yesterday, I found out the hard way that the nearby River Cree Casino and Resort has moved their $1.99 breakfast buffet (still 9-11am Tuesdays and Thursdays) to their Kitchen Bistro venue, where the other, more complete, buffets are held. The end result is that, when I arrived at 10:20 a.m., it was a one hour wait for a table no matter which buffet you want. Needless to say, I didn't stick around.

Thanks Jon!
It seems to me you are trying to get out of that breakfast you promised me!!?
I will be in Edmonton around the end of August.
I hope to see you then.
:D

On Tuesday morning, I sent the Edmonton Broadcasters Club's most experienced Dining Reporter to cover the story for RadioWest, and here is what he had to say:
We tried again this morning. Did not get seated until after 11 Am, (1-1/2
hour wait.)
As long as you are registered, you will get breakfast. (even though lunch is
now available)
Free coffee available in the Casino at the bar. Help yourself. Enter at the
opening around the corner to the left of the 'Kitchen.'
I asked about getting in for breakfast...they said.... "be here by 8 Am. The
'Kitchen' opens at 8:45. Better to wait before, rather than later."
Breakfast is breakfast. Breakfast is not lunch/brunch.
