Poor Mr. Pavement might be too busy today to even notice our greetings to him on his "annual reminder of the end point of his conception", as he would phrase it in his pear-shaped tones. He is doubtlessly too busy rehearsing his best Nixon and Clinton denial voices ("I've never heard of Watergate", "I don't know anyone named Monica") in preparation for more Harper Party commercial voicing sessions. I'm not knocking it. It sure beats the Preparation H and Housefold Hinance spots he used to do "back in the day".
Happy Birthday, Pave! As Brian Henderson once said to me in one of his more inebriated moments: "You're too intelligent to be in this business."
