Two longtime CKRY Country 105 Calgary employees have suddenly "retired" following the announcement that CFMI/CFOX Vancouver PD Ronnie Stanton was named regional Program Manager for Corus' 6 FM stations in BC and Alberta.
Phil Kallsen who has been PD of Country 105 for 22 years along with PM Driver/APD/MD Scott Phillips who has been at the station for 29 years have both announced their retirements.
Until the arrival of Pattison's Wild 95.3 in recent years, Country 105 pretty much owned the Country radio market in Calgary.
