Now that cafe100.7 in Winnipeg is toast, does that mean Calgarys cafe is toast to?? Whats going to happen with that freqency, will it become a Hank or Big Earl. I guess will just have to wait and see :)

I'm sure when this new station appears, it'll be sporting boots and a stetson. There is definately room on the Calgary radio dial for another country station. CKRY has had a big chunk of pie for far too long.

Unfortunately, I don't think the brains at NewCap [is that an oxymoron?] are capable of doing the task.

Just look at Big Earl in Edmonton.

I spent a goodly amount of time monitoring the online music-mix for Cafe90-FM here in Calgary and I was diggin' the hell out of it.

Management claims it's a 20-30 demographic reach, but with a little more thought and input, I'm satisfied it could reach 50+ demos... easy.

What Newcap tests and what Newcap presents are two entirely different things. Remember the Breeze?

Newcap is in trouble. No money and lots of in-fighting. Be thankful you don't work for them.

...about a month-and-a-half late and counting. Other than that, I have no idea. I have to wonder if they were caught off guard with Harvard lauching so soon.
