Harvard wants 2 PDs in Edmonton

Postby jon » Sat Jul 19, 2014 2:06 pm

Harvard's web site lists three PD jobs available right now, the earliest closing July 31st. Including both Harvard stations in Edmonton: HOT 107 and Cruz.

In Regina, they are looking for a single PD to run both Wolf and MY.

Good to see them have a separate PD for each station in Edmonton, though my reading of the job descriptions leads me to believe that each is, in reality, a combo PD/MD position.

So, what happened to the existing PDs? Tim Schutz is leaving for personal reasons. And Sara Parker, who left last May, went into PR for the Alberta Association for Community Living.

In Regina, Grant Biebrick is still listed on The Wolf web site as PD. And Greg Morgan on the MY site.

Grant is also PD for CKRM-620 (Regina), a job that is not currently being advertised, making it likely that Grant will retain that position. Could he be adding some on-air work on CKRM to his role at Harvard?

Greg also does PM Drive on MY, so he may not be going anywhere either. He may even continue to program the music in a newly-created MD role under the new PD.
