It could have done, very well, However, someone at Pattison pulled the plug on country music, prematurely, after only two years on the air? Was it Leo Baggio or Bob Mills. Nobody will say for sure.
Obviously, it took a David Larson calibre programmer to get country music to work in this area.
After 30 years of trying to make country work in this town, Newcap finally pulled it off !
Country 100.7 does very well to this day and for a while, they were the number one station.
The key to making country work is to get a name brand morning person. Casey Clarke fits the bill in all aspects.
You want good talent ? Then, shell out the bucks !
However, Pattison is notorious for "el cheapo" when it comes to radio talent.
