Below is a link to a Reuters news story about an internet gambling executive that was busted at JFK airport in New York, but the warrant was effected from the state of Louisiana.

For this to come together the U.S. Homeland Security system was used to track airline passengers, and their destination.

After reading this, a question to be asked, is the U.S. government trying to stop online gambling or is the government trying to protect the gambling interests that exist in the U.S. such as all things in the state of Nevada.

The airline tracking was setup to stop the supposed terrorist, but is definately being used for many more functions, in the space of real time.

The next thing to ask is, what happens when one american state decides to outlaw or ban something from a Canadian company, then any members of that company get tracked on their U.S. travels with the odds being very good at being busted since the U.S. Homeland Security is tracking all.

An example would be of an online pharmacy, but there could be many other products, from publishing, software, or Alberta beef.

For those that brought up the issue of Fred Latrimont covering political agenda, this is a good example where the average citizen should be informed of how the storage and retention of personal data can be abused, and misused.

Who gets to be the gatekeeper of the gatekeeper ? :(
