Installing

Postby johnsykes » Sun Nov 28, 2010 8:47 pm

I have removed the HP1200 Three In One printer from the computer. Deleted all files connected with the printer.
I want to install a BJC-4300 Canon printer that my daughter gave me.
I ran the disk....it loads to 89% then a message hits the screen

Severe
ERROR: failed to delete files

and, the install disk stops running

Any ideas?

Do you have plug and play detection?
Just plug the printer in. Turn everything off...Then restart the computer and let it detect
the new hardware( Printer). It should then ask for the driver disk to load the appropriate drivers.

Thanks John, forget the old printer and wait for the HP and follow what Sandclan has to say.
