From the person who sent this link: Enjoy. Another reason to be glad we no longer work in the broadcasting industry

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

Best link posted here in some time. Everyone should take five minutes to read this. Right up there with the Brian Lord chronicles.

Unfortunately, the piece also speaks volumes about the hazards facing most of us around the Big Six Oh who are desperate enough to take an entry level job. You know, the one meant for a kid fresh out of school who can work 48 hours straight several times a week. Few have that kind of mental stamina anymore at our age after several nervous breakdowns or mid-life crises.

Been there, done that.

News of this kind of mistake travels far and wide. That makes it unlikely that hirers of potential future gigs will not get wind of it and quietly push his application into the file numbered 13.

Rather than file 13, the application may end up in the "ID 10 Tee File" ... otherwise known as the "ID10T" file ....

Yes, there is a sad component to the story, and reminds me of a "60 something" copy writer that was hired into a junior position when the rest of the staff was half his age at best .... good guy to speak with, but just not in sync with the rest of the building, and was struggling from day one.

He was a life lesson for me .... "a don't let this happen to you" lesson.
