CNN says Chris Cuomo, Kate Bolduan will host new morning show

NEW YORK - Chris Cuomo and Kate Bolduan will be CNN's anchor team for a new morning show that will begin later this spring.

Cuomo joined CNN from ABC earlier this year specifically to do the morning show. Bolduan has covered Congress for CNN and been co-host with Wolf Blitzer of "The Situation Room'' in the late afternoon.

Michaela Pereira will be the show's news anchor, joining CNN from a local television station in Los Angeles.

The morning show has an experienced executive team behind it.

CNN's new boss, Jeff Zucker, made his name as executive producer of NBC's "Today'' show in the 1990s. The senior producer behind CNN's new unnamed show is Jim Murphy, who was executive producer of ABC's "Good Morning America'' from 2006 to 2011.

It is a train wreck on NBC. The morning cash cow is sinking fast. Matt is looking like the Captain of the Titanic - and then switch over to GMA and everyone seems to be having a blast.
Hard to fake chemistry at 5 in the morning, and NBC’s new offering better come out firing on all cylinders, or there’s going to be a lot of lawyers making a lot of money.
OR, we could all switch to Jill Krop.
