Experienced on-air talent available now.

Postby SKradiophile » Thu Oct 17, 2013 3:59 pm

It seems Pamela Wallin and Mike Duffy are now free to receive offers for employment from program bosses looking to fill any holes in any department. Will not work cheap though and both are rumored to have a lot of previous bosses and colleagues angry at them. Does notoriety generate good ratings anymore?

I'm sure they'd be good media hires just so long as their expense accounts were carefully scrutinized.

Their talent is one thing, their credibility is quite another.

It should have been obvious to anybody that Duffy, in particular, never saw a trough into which he wasn't eager to dip his snout.

Even way back in the days of the late, lamented Frank Magazine, there were reports in every issue about a "well-lubricated" Mike Duffy frequenting the best restaurants and bars by pushing the envelope with his CTV and CBC expense accounts.

I have an idea. DUMP both these bums. Wallin and Duffy have thumbed their noses at the Senate and in turn, fellow Canadians.

Goodbye. You and I tried to do some of the alleged shenanigans, and we would be in the clink.

Even though the Harper office would dearly love to dump their sorry butts into the Rideau Canal and just be done with it, the problems are that none of these folks have been charged with, let alone found guilty of, any crime. It's going to be tough to toss them without pay and all that for a good long time.
Still, like hag sez... if it were any of us, we'd be Bubba's playmate by now.

Wallin has apparently repaid $140,000 for her expenses. Harper is trying to "fire" both Wallin and Duffy which is probably appropriate under the circumstances. He appointed them in good faith and they both turned out to be duds. I really don't know what more can be done.

The NDP might steal a few seats with Mulcair hammering the fact that the NDP will dump the Senate.

The whole thing stinks and Wallin and Duffy have made journalists look really sleazy.
