Global BC will be Hopeless

Postby flyonthewall » Thu Mar 13, 2014 11:44 am

Later today, 32 year Global BC vet Deborra Hope will be announcing her departure from the Lake City facility.

All the best to you in the next chapter of your life Deb. (I almost typed 'future endeavours').

I can only wish good things for Deb Hope.

I was on stage with her at more than a few Telethons, etc. and she always unfailingly sweet and nice to work with.

Too many changes. I’m getting tired saying goodbye to people I respect so much.

Best to you Deb. You are a pro and are well loved by a lot of folks.

Deb was a colleague for a few months, but has been a friend for a long time. I wish her the best of luck in whatever she chooses to do next, whether it be take some time off or expand her charitable time.
She also has the distinction of being the only "Requesto Sister" and it was awesome to be 'on stage' with her at that event in Mexico. (I may have said too much)
You're the best Deb...and I hope Roger keeps supporting you!

Have I every been wrong? Yes.

I didn't think earlier speculation was true but the black smoke did indicate a fire.... I mean a departure.

I like Deborra - she brought a mother hen + sister image to the mix. I still say Global has been
quite good at developing talent and making them cohesive.

I just don't get that feeling while watching CBC or CTV. As a journalist (stretching it) I often did not listen for the story
but how comfortable I was with Tony and the gang for many many years.

I wish her well, I wish the station well. Them are the daze.

It was mentioned last night that Deb's last day will be next Friday, the 21st. From now til then each cast will feature bits & pieces of Deb's 32 years at BCTV/Golbal (featurung her different hair
coulors and styles)
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
