One of the greats of the Audio Engineering industry was a Canadian. He died on August 10th at age 73 in Toronto.
He was responsible for many Canadian "direct to disc" recordings, back in the latter years of vinyl. But it seems he is best known for a Grounding problem with microphones, discovering that grounding Pin 1 solved a lot of noise problems. On a day to day basis, he was the guy you wanted on your team if you were designing a recording studio.
I'll leave it to others who know about the subject and the man, to expand on his legacy.
