Here's an ad from the January 20, 1970 edition of the Ubyssey...

I don't think Gary was part of the group, but his brothers were. I recall hearing their name mentioned in ads for numerous nightspots like the Grooveyard along with groups like Jason Hoover & The Epics, Kentish Steele & The Shantelles and The Night Train Revue.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I used to see Jason Hoover's old purple bus parked around the corner from Chopsticks in Sapperton all the time.

Didn't the Grooveyard used to be The Hollywood Bowl? Carnarvon Street across from The Russell Hotel.

Yes, they were.

I went to Burnaby South highschool. One of the Raible Brothers, Terry, was in some of my classes.
