CBC Edmonton's Tiffany Burns has disappeared from the CBC.ca web site, so far, without a trace. Her last Twitter entry was at noon on October 29th. Curious given that she generally twits several times a day and seemingly never leaves more than 3 days without a tweet. http://twitter.com/Tiffany_Burns

Another abrupt departure from Edmonton's CBC newsroom.

CBC-TV 6 p.m. news anchor Tiffany Burns "has left us," confirms acting CBC Edmonton manager Judy Piercey.

"I can't discuss her departure."

This after just one year as news anchor, and weeks after the sudden departure of former local CBC news director Mike Linder. Not the easiest of ways to rebuild the CBC TV local news audience.

Longtime 6 p.m. anchor Portia Clark, who returned from maternity leave to discover she'd be co-anchoring with Tiffany, will easily slip into her former role.
