Ah, the joys of the PPM's three month rolling averages. It will be early April before we see the first "Christmas-free" ratings period results. And even that will be slightly tainted, as that period begins December 27th.
Which means, of course, that Common Sense is wrong. While it is indeed true that playing nothing but Christmas music for one month of the year might bump your listenership up for just one month, it actually gives you three PPM periods' bumps. The same happened last year with Easy Rock.
