Does anyone remember hearing this show back in 1972?

[March 1972 story from Billboard Magazine]

From early 1972, the opening and closing of the “Rock Canada” documentary – hosted by Scott Morgan (CKFH, CHED), produced by Bob McCord (CHED) with jingle by Tommy Banks

Rock Canada Sample

The show was based on Ritchie Yorke's early 1970's book "Axes, Chops and Hot Licks" ...

Thanks to albertaboyforlife for sharing the memories of this 40+ year piece of Canadian Rock History.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

I'm pretty sure I heard this show on CKXL back in 1972. If there was enough cancon to fill a 12 hour show 41 years ago, why aren't we hearing more than a few of those songs today?

does anyone have the whole thing? would love to hear it.

I have 2 specials put out in the 80s, Heart Of Gold-The Radio Special (from Insight) and Northern Gold (from Telemedia) which are well done.

Ritchie Yorke, author of "Axes, Chops and Hot Licks: The Canadian Rock Music Scene" has died.
