Did he look for the tiniest things in Tony's book? Is he still hurting from the ass-kicking BCTV continually gave CBC when he was working there? Talk about sour grapes!

Yeah, what was that all about. Seemed like a petty book review? Have the two of them got some old battle going? This coming on the weekend when Tony Parsons gets inducted into the CAB Hall of Fame! They showed him on the news tonight. Maybe I should check the Hall of Fame list and see if Ouston is on it. Hmmmm let's see....
Beverley Oda, Craig Oliver, no, I don't see an Ouston

To quote Dean Martin ( sort of )

Well it's lonesome in this old town
Everybody puts him down
He's a face without a name
Just bitchin' all the same
No one cares about Ouston, Ouston, Ouston

 :tail

Does Tony really do the news with his dog sitting on his lap?

What's with TV people and their dogs?

Who was that guy who looked like Norman Bates that did the weather with his skinny Greyhound dogs back
in the 80s? I think it was on Channel 10?

:cat2:

I actually went to Chapters today to buy a copy of Tony's book but then I made the mistake of taking a quick glance at it. I noticed the large print right away and after spending about five minutes skimming the book I put it back on the pile. Ouston's review is well thought out and doesn't come across as some kind of vindictive hatchet job IMHO. I can only remember ONE instance of Tony doing an interview and it was horrible. He's not a journalist but one of the best talking heads in the business. His book dishes plenty of dirt on other people but he glosses over his own shortcomings. Only the most die hard Tony "fan" is going to enjoy this future doorstop.

That would be the former mayor of Lions Bay, Douglas Miller.

Very insightful based on 5 minutes of skimming! ;)

I hate waking up early. :bigsmurf:

That name is familiar, was he ever an instructor at BCIT?
