A New Brew Hits Seattle on Nov.1

Postby radiofan » Fri Oct 28, 2011 6:29 pm

Clear Channel’s 80s/90s Hits “Gen X 104.9” KSGX Eatonville is now stunting with Halloween Music and Horror Movie clips as “Freddy 104.9“. Prior to it's flip to Gen X 104.9, the station was known as The Funky Monkey. On Tuesday it will become Classic Rock 104.9 The Brew.

The new format is being teased with a video on the Freddy 104.9 Website

104.9 is a sister station to KJR-FM, KUBE. KBKS and others.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

From what I've been reading this afternoon it turns out The Brew is an Alternative-Active Rock mix with an occasional hard Classic Rock tune thrown in. Sounds more like what the Funky Monkey was doing before flipping to Gen X. Very different from The Brew in Portland.

Can't hear them off air because of CFUN 104.9 and Clear Channel still embargoes streams into Canada.
