C-C-C-Changes in Seattle (a busy day!)...

Postby radiofan » Mon Dec 04, 2017 5:25 pm

Barely two weeks into Christmas music, 40+ year Country legend KMPS surprised the market shortly after 9AM today when the Christmas music stopped and Lionel Richie's "Hello" was the first of 10,000 songs in a row on 94.1 The Sound, a new Soft A/C station for the Jet City. The station flipped to all Christmas music when Entercom took control of the station from CBS on November 17th.

An hour and a half later, Hubbard's KVRQ 98.9 bailed on it's less than two year old Rock format (Rock 98.9) and Country 98.9 was launched.
Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
