KIXI radio as Christmas approaches reminds me of ...

Postby RationalKeith » Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:19 am

KIXI radio reminds me of the line of an experienced entertainment industry person who, in describing the challenge the Motown music company faced entering the movie market, said that Hollywood’s maxim must be “If too much is good, even more must be better.”

Continuous Christmas music already? Pffft. (No variety, no sense.)
Good that I have many RnR CDs and DVDs.

(I of course don’t mind a few RnR Chistmas songs, like Rockin Around The Christmas Tree and especially White Christmas by Clyde McPhatter and the Drifters (doo-wop style, Bill Pinkney singing bass lead) as well as Dave Koz’ marvelous instrumental Winter Wonderland. But if you mention the Irish Rovers I will retch.)

Wouldn't variety make more sense?
