Sounds like it's a done deal according to this story from The Seattle Weekly:

that's great news! Marty's been one of Seattle's best drive-time talents for a number of decades. With the many changes happening in Seattle radio - including Cheap Channel hiring Bob Rivers for KJR-FM - Entercom came to their senses and rehired Marty for afternoon drive. Marty, incidentally is going to continue with his daily podcasts too whcih allow him to stretch the boundaries a little more. "The Mountain" is a good station for those of us looking for something a little different, (yes, I like listening to "The Shore" too!)but they need to stay competetive. They've managed to stay in the game following a legacy of similarly formatted stations over the years (KWJZ, KEZX, KZAM-FM) I'd like to believe that this may be a reversal of the trend to get rid of high-paid talent in radio, but alas, is probably wishful thinking. Kick ass, Marty!

Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.
