No, it is Alberta. And CHAT is, by far, the closest answer so far.

I'll say the site for the former 1220 CJOC Lethbridge. It's a guess as I never got close to their site, whereas I drove by 1090 CHEC/CKRX daily in the mid-'90s and CFRV's weekly.
Faster cars, younger women, older cheese, more money . . .

I'm surprised I missed that one seeing it's almost the reverse of a picture I have in my CJOC files.
Spent many hours there cleaning up the mess left by the previous "engineers" in 1967.
It had a 10 KW Continental and an old 5KW Marconi that could house a family of four.
When you fired up the 5KW with it's huge transformers, the bass notes shook the building.
The little hut at the base of the foreground tower housed the tuning and pattern change equipment for day and night operation.
The transmission line from the transmitter building was above ground and had at one time been hit by lightning.
The "engineers" had repaired it with a piece of copper screen and some tar................................ :|

Wow! I'm not sure what I'm more disturbed by... the fact you MISSED it because it was almost the reverse, or the fact you have pictures of transmitter towers in your files! ;) (I know... I'm just disturbed... period)

Let's think about this for a minute. We're spending our time discussing Radio, and perhaps a little Television, or so the title says at the top of the Web page.

And what's that: electromagnetic radiation that mysteriously goes through the air in a manner that, for my money, no one can adequately explain, including the late Einstein, though he may not have actually been trying.

At least I can see (and touch, if they are turned off, and I scale the fence) Towers.
All together now: :wav: -- we are not worthy.
