Free Turkey Hours start at noon - radio at its finest

Postby jon » Thu Nov 26, 2009 10:36 am

Reelradio.com is celebrating U.S. Thanksgiving this year by streaming, for free -- no subscription required, some of the finest Radio that has ever made its way to this pair of ears: several of Bobby Rich's Turkey Hours, plus an exclusive interview with Bobby. Don't be fooled by the fact that these were originally aired in San Diego. Bobby is Pacific Northwest born and bred, even telling the story of how he met Conway Twitty and his manure-covered boots at KPUG in Bellingham while still a teenager (Bobby, not Conway).

Starts today at noon Pacific time at http://www.reelradio.com/aircheckchannel/index.php. Details below. Subtract 3 hours from EST for Pacific, 2 hours for Mountain, and 1 hour for Central time zones.

I'm pleased to announce that REELRADIO will present an EXCLUSIVE Interview with Head Turkey BOBBY RICH during our tasty Thanksgiving Turkey Hour AIRCHECK CHANNEL Special on Thanksgiving Day. Mr. Rich spoke with Guest Turkey and REELRADIO contributor Michael Hagerty earlier this morning. The interview is now being checked for H1N1 and scurvy, and we expect it to clear customs later today.

It's a delightful and amusing conversation and it will be featured several times between the turkeys on Thursday. For the first time ever, these turkeys will be available on your iPhone (with Tuner2) so you can take the gobblers with you, over the river, through the woods and even into Grandma's house, if she's feeling well.

Join us for a fascinating and sometimes shocking and inside look at the putrid poultry program that soiled a station. We stream Turkeys for the 12th year beginning at 3PM EST Thursday, Thanksgiving Day!

Our Turkey Leader (Bobby) asked if we could extend our Thanksgiving Special this year into the weekend, and not wishing to disappoint the Grand Gobbler, I agreed! Please note that the Turkey Hours this year will be presented in an AIRCHECK CHANNEL streaming special, not as individual on-demand exhibits.

The special runs 6.5 hours, including Michael Hagerty's wonderful interview with Bobby. Yes, there are seven hours, but the technical quality on two of the exhibits is poor, so only one of those will be included in each 6.5 hour presentation. It'll run once on Thanksgiving (starts 3PM EST), twice on the Friday after Thanksgiving (starts 11:30AM EST), and again on Saturday (starts 5:30PM EST.)

And finally - TURKEYFEST 2009 will be OPEN to the public! We hope making these classic shows available to everyone will encourage new subscribers. It's a Gobbler Gift for all!

Strange.... I've been tuning into my AM & FM radio stations for free forever. Some people make you PAY to listen to radio? That's just weird.
Houston, We're dealing with morons!.
