I have heard some rumblings from within the radio and advertising community about what to expect from Rogers Vancouver follie next Thursday. Maybe Mr Freeman will be back on 104.9 before any of the Sonic peeps' make it past their three month probation period.
Rogers has never spoken truer words than telling people they wouldn't like what was replacing CFUN on 104.9.
What has happened to the once mighty CFAX? It no longer is "the news authority"- there is an absence of CFAX news cars, and persons reporting on local events. Mature, experienced and knowledgeable radio voices are more scarce than the earlier days. Al Ferraby and Steve Duffy are the exception. The once vital open line shows are boring.
