Robert Hegyes, an actor whose Jewish-Puerto Rican character Juan Epstein was one of the Sweathogs on the 1970s TV sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," died Thursday of a heart attack in New Jersey. He was 60.

Mr. Hegyes had been ill for a while.
Does "Kotter" seem like a long time ago?
Still love the John Sebastian vocal job on the Song "Welcome Back"......" 'cos we tease him a lot, because we got him on the spot, WELCOME BACK....."
