I keep remembering Jesse Winchester as the most prominent Draft Dodger that I was aware of during that era.

Several Canadian radio stations openly recruited U.S. announcers and did the paperwork to get them into the country, even meeting them at the border. Those from smaller markets, like Fresno, were put to work as Operators. Bob Ness actually made it to air on CKLG-FM. I believe that he worked on air in San Francisco Underground Radio before arriving in Vancouver. He went back in an amnesty program that saw him paint military runways in Arizona for 6 months before being allowed to work for KJAZ-FM in San Francisco.

`ah man, there ought to be some kind of law about possession of nothing but twigs and seeds'

A talented man and artist that painted many images. RIP
