Interesting to hear Bob Layton read the story on CHED this morning, as he described it as a Death Sentence in his first phrase. Having not heard the story before and because he did not mention Olson by name initially, I was expecting to hear of a released or escaped Canadian convict being sentenced in the U.S. where capital punishment is still legal (in some States).

Interesting to me as it harkens back to 20/20 News (reporting style), when it reigned supreme in Drake-influenced stations.

They should have left him in his cell.

A question I've pondered for a lifetime and still don't know the answer; I'm not sure I believe in God, I'm more inclined to believe in the devil, but I am certain that I believe in the existence of "evil".

The question of whether there is or is not a all knowing, loving God is one that many have wrestled with. An open mind on any subject is better than a mind that is closed and not willing to ask the important questions of life. Clifford Olson will find out for himself what the realities of whether there is or isn't a God, Christ, Satan as will we all at the end when we shed this mortal coil.

Shouldn't this topic be on the 'other' board?

Paul you may be right in that my comment may belong in another location, but I was just responding to the above item from NS.

I knew one of the RCMP officers who escorted Olson around when he was showing them the locations
of his victims, in exchange for $$'s for his wife retirement fund. He said that in all his years of dealing with criminals,
that Olsen was pure "EVIL". Just being around him gave him a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach, and that
feeling that somebody had just stepped on your grave.

So has anyone yet called on the lawyer E. James McNeney, Q.C. for a reaction?

I know RW used to have a sports department, don't believe there was ever a news department.
Why don't you call him, and report back.

We have TV and Radio station newsrooms in town who all should have called on McNeney by now... given his key role in the original Olson court saga.

On checking NW's "Audio Vault" there was no audio of the QC being interviewed on Bill's, Simi's, or Jon"s show. I didn't check Adler or Till.
