Gee .. Wasn't Golden Sound Radio CKDA's slogan for many years?

I guess stealing a name like that doesn't surprise me. Some people couldn't come up with anything original if their lives depended on it.

Maybe the Pattison Group owns the rights to the slogan "Golden Sound Radio" now that it owns what was once CKDA.

good question Radiofan! When I was preparing to launch my Internet station i looked at the cost of paying SOCAN/CAPAC royalties and a mechanical copying license & realized the cost was prohibitive for a non-income, hobby station which is why I signed up with stream provider/host Live 365. There are pro's & con's (mostly pro's!) being a Live 365 broadcaster, but at least I don't have to worry about my royalty/music licensing fees.

CBOY?? I guess that was their next best choice considering CBC-TV already has the callsign CBUT ("C-Butt")
