Although there was certainly plenty of "trick photography" as it was called back then, in those days before PhotoShop, my money says that photo was done just as you see it. Dunno if the pup was chloroformed or just extremely cooperative.

Back to the original question as to what's next in advertising. A CNN article claims the tobacco companies are already ramping up advertising plans for their new line of marijuana products in case the American federal government legalizes it. The parent company of Philip Morris has even registered a couple of domain names, AltriaCannabis.com and AltriaMarijuana.com, to protect their planned brands.

Wow, that takes us back to toilet jokes in advertising. My Pot is better than your Pot.
