Are You Ready For Christmas?

With just a few days until we celebrate Christmas with a new grandson and the in laws we've finally completed our self assigned tasks for the next few days ahead......7 1/2 doz tarts (5 1/2 butter tarts and 2 mince meat ) ....two lots of mint chocolate fudge and one lot of regular fudge.... some of the above will be used as gifts and the rest will be consumed by family and friends who come to visit

We're not doing the big bird this year ... we'll leave that to our son and daughter in law.... we're along for the ride.... It will nice to spoil the little guy and see the family all together for Christmas.

Here are a couple of Stan Freeberg's Christmas bits to help you through the next few days.....

"Dragnet Christmas' from 1953

"Green Christmas" from 1958

Hope you all have a blessed Christmas... Have realistic expectations, There is no such thing as a "perfect Christmas" enjoy..... and take time for yourself to decompress if you have to.....

Christmas baking is not complete with out Short Bread Cookies.... We just finished making four doz of these tasty goodies.

Now we're done except for carting it all to the in laws... The baby's bassinet we have here s full and looks like Satan's slay....the only things missing from that image is Santa, the Rain Deer and jingle bells.....
