Lululemon

Brilliant. Lululemon sticking it to those bullies at VANOC, with a clothing line that's called, "Cool Sporting Event That Takes Place in British Columbia Between 2009 & 2011 Edition."
Ha! VANOC'S shorts are in a knot over this one. Good! :D

I expect more class from Lululemon.
Charging a premium for stretch pants lasts as long as you're exclusive.

Making daffy Swedish coloured hockey helmets with a cutesy labels is a far stretch of the pants from their core product.

Sorry Destro, but for Lululemon's already fanatical followers, as well as the numerous people who are tiring of VANOC's draconian grip over "Canada's Games" (Really letting Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim carry the fucking torch? That smacks of an out of control, out of touch organization) this sort of stunt is, while passive aggressive in that uniquely yogic way, a home run.

Kudos to any organization that thumbs it's nose at VANOC and the money grubbing IOC.
Early bullying tactics against a well known restaurant that uses Olympic as part of it's name came to naught.
The place still is there, with the original sign.
Public outcry against the greed machine made VANOC back down.
And people already are starting to grumble about signs posted on downtown streets saying there will be no parking from the beginning of February until the end of March.
It's just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm with ya 50% on this Mike. I think its a very cheeky and innovative thing that Lulu did and I applaud them... heck... Kudos!

As for the parking. Its gonna happen... its for security... get over it. I think its good they're giving lots of lead time on this. With all the publicity there has been about closures etc., if anyone gets caught... and there will be some... IMO, its their own bloody fault.

For those who still think the Olympics can be cancelled... again, get over it. They're gonna happen.

Mike I'm sure you received the twenty page "contract " that they tried to get freelance writers to sign saying that we'd only use certain approved terminology?

I told them to fuck off and haven't written word-one about the olympics. No wait I did write about what VANOC did to Right To Play.

Two thumbs up Lululemon. I also laughed about an incident when the Torch Relay passed through a Southern Ontario town. As Canada's Heritage Minister was being interviewed the big ol' Re/Max balloon rose from behind the stage. He remarked that VANOC will be ticked as they're not a corporate sponsor of the Torch Run. Too bad, so sad! Maybe I should get the Olympic tattoo removed from my buttocks before Furlong sends the VANOC police! ROFL
