Midnight to 6am is morning, is it not? If not, when does morning begin? Hmmm.

Of course morning begins after midnight but it's called overnights on the shift schedule.
Morning shows used to begin at 6am but now it's 5 or 5:30am.
They also used to last until 9am but that's been stretched to 10am on most stations.
Longer hours, fewer people, good for the bottom line.
