Marke at CTV and his take on climate change

Postby Jack Bennest » Sat Mar 27, 2010 11:47 am

Michael Easton is using Facebook in attempts to discredit CTV weatherman Marke D. (its a long thread and I am giving only a snippet)

Marke van den Driesschen: Michael, most of those 30,000 plus scientists and the research they are doing is being funded by oil companies and groups related to the fuel industry. I'd say that also questions there qualifications as well.

Michael Easton: that is a bunch of bullshit
I can't believe your ignorance... Really! you blow me away
someone in a position such as yours...
you, my friend are an irresponsible broadcaster!

Marke had agreed with a statement by me (JCB) - that we should focus on cleaning up the air, the soil and the water rather than the arguement about climate change. Climate change is happening - it may be in long cycles or it could be caused by factors related to humans.

That aside - we must clean up the earth as best we can with limited resources and not get into the "who is right" arguement.

Foregive me Marke - but you are right - NOT wrong.

Marke Driesschen I have heard of, and seen on TV.

Who is this foulmouthed Easton character? I'm guessing some tea partier from the southern United States?

The years of abuse must really be taking their toll on Mr. Conspiracy Theory specialist. To lash out and tell
a qualified professional they are full of bullshit is the mark of a true first class moron.

Marke Driesschen has more respect and credibility than some loose cannon who doesn't know the difference
between fact and fiction.

Go taker another hit or two on your bong and then stare through your glazed eyeballs at some chemtrails.

Sadly, all this arguing about Climate Change and Carbon Dioxide emissions seems to have taken everyone's attention, and research money, away from Air Pollution - emissions of substances long proven to be harmful in much smaller quantities. Even more frightening, it is paving the way for Nuclear Power Plants because they now come out cheaper than burying the Carbon Dioxide emitted by traditional power plants. The irony is that the nuclear waste created will likely do a lot more harm than the equivalent Carbon Dioxide. Not to mention the substances released should a "mistake" occur in the plant.

I'm impressed that JCB found the font colour button to emphasize what a clown this Easton guy is. I'm wondering if he's cousins with that airchecker guy. They seem to have gone to the same school of intolerance. :(

Is it bigger than a breadbox?

Does it have anything to do with the topic of this thread that you started?

Will it bore the rest of us?

I know exactly what you're refering to, but I will not be a part in giving that clown (especially on such a minor point), any more exposure on this website.

H.A.T - I am not allowed to take things down on radiowest - see rule 600?101!98
(Its uncanny how the radiowest rules are numbered like my career)

Just had a chat with the management and we are to refrain from using that man's name here...if possible. So howaboutnotdoingthat - you are correct in your actions.

As to the minor nature - it had some rollin in the halls.
