Jack Layton led coalition.
Yankees will freak.
The Economy, that is on a knife's edge will tank, under new taxes and higher rates.
Oh, this is just swell.
Iggy is a joke, a Harper, is well, Harper. About as sincere as a case of shingles.
Gosh, what a mess.

The world is changing, as it should. The economy will survive. Global development is where it is at for an economy. We don't need wars, we need growth. Give the world a better standard of living. All it takes is money. The bankers can create it. The entrepreneurs can spend it. Everybody benefits.

Since when was Mr. Harper made the CEO of Quebecor and why was I not informed?

I am no longer surprised when people concoct conclusions that only fit with their already-existing assumptions. And, man, there's a lot of that going around.

Sounds good to me Jack. I can always use a couple beers.

Very hard election to predict, the polls have been so volatile:

Conservative 150
NDP 75
Liberal 59
Bloc 23
Ind 1

the Conservatives only have 40% of the popular vote and have a majority in seat count... amazing stuff in Quebec for the NDP.

That's what happens when you have 5 political parties with elected members.

I think I owe Dan 2 beer ( he and linda )

His total for the PC was higher and closer than mine
His total for the NDP was higher and closer than mine
We were both wrong on the count for the Liberals and BQ

I am not happy with the majority but really surprised and gleeful to
have the NDP double plus its seat count, getting rid of the Bloc
and move into Stornaway.

Trudeau will be rolling over in his grave.

The task ahead is most difficult for the NDP opposition - they must grow into this in the next four years.

I'm completely satisfied this election has been completed with Canada as the winner par excellence.

The NDP, unlike the Liberals, cannot be accused of cynicism... just impatience. And that's not a bad thing.

I suspect the Prime Minister will be accepting counsel from Jack at every opportunity as nobody denies the goals of the NDP are bogus. Who would argue against better health care, pensions etc?

What comes first, however, is the prosperity of the country and massive taxation would have brought that to a screeching, grinding halt.

In the short term, Jack's job will be to run a Summer Kid's Camp for the newbies of Quebec. And so what? At least the province is back in the national camp with representation from a national party.

I believe I will sleep better tonight than last. Once again: :phew:
