08/31/06 - Bute Inlet Development Corporation has applied to the CRTC for a FM station in Campbell River. The new station would operate on 100.7 MHz non-direction with an ERP of 540 watts. CRTC application

To plan and carry out employment development activities designed to result in an increase in the number of permanent jobs and otherwise foster economic development for Members of the Homalco Band.

thanks to Gord Lansdell for tweaking my interest

The above is new to me Dan - this is an aborignal company that is operaitng outside of the usual native radio bid system

More power to these guys who seem to be totally business oriented.

Maybe I can get Chief Clarence Louie to bid on a station in Osoyoos. We could use some competition for the corps.
