Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who couldn't hear the music.

The song One Horse Blue was originally a Poco tune written by Paul Cotton for that country-rock band’s eighth studio album Cantamos. Not only did Poco’s original inspire a cover version by a group of former rock musicians in Alberta, but those players also decided to name themselves after the song.

Released in late 1978, One Horse Blue was the second single from the band. Not sure if mainstays Ron Vaugeois and Michael Shelland were both aboard at that point. A later One Horse Blue member, Gord Maxwell, came to the fore on some of their subsequent recordings. Gord recently joined Chilliwack replacing longtime bassist-harmonist Doug Edwards who passed away in 2016.
