Lovin' Sound was the title track of an album that was Ian and Sylvia's first on MGM after three on sister label Verve. Weirdly, the couple soon were competing against themselves as Verve issued a fourth long player So Much For Dreaming.
As for the Lovin' Sound LP, it contained Ian and Sylvia's interpretation of Reason To Believe. Or as MGM listed it (Find A) Reason To Believe. Tim Hardin's original bowed in 1966. Within a year, there had been so many covers--including by Bobby Darin, Marianne Faithfull, Rick Nelson and Gary Lewis & The Playboys--that the Tysons were the twelfth to do so. All long before Rod Stewart finally made it a hit.
