Ken Tobias, much like other '60s Canadian acts The Paupers and The Collectors, got his initial break by signing directly to US labels: first Bell and then MGM. He struck gold, however, by pitching Stay Awhile to Montrealers The Bells. He then enjoyed a spate of his own hits. My favourite remains Dream#2 which was beautifully covered by Susan Jacks.
