Postby radiofan » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:19 am

On December 22nd, longtime CBC Vancouver Radio One Early Edition host Rick Cluff will be hanging up his headphones.

It was announced this morning that current On The Coast (PM Drive) host Stephen Quinn will segue into mornings replacing Rick Cluff effective January 2nd.

Also announced, Gloria Macarenko will replace Quinn as host of On The Coast.

Congratulations to both on their new positions and Happy Retirement Rick!

I wish Rick a great retirement, and send along good wishes to Mr. Quinn and Gloria, for their new gigs!

Well deserved. Looks like it will be a seamless handoff from Rick Cluff. Over at NW, will Jon McComb and station management tinker with format to defend against losing listeners to the now bulked-up CBC?

Well, 'NW hasn't really taken any action to stem the tide of listeners moving to the mother corporation. After all, it's been many quarters of losses for 'NW.
