If, say, Drex has a 10-1 am slot, would he pre-record with guests and panels so it could air, without phone-ins from listeners, in the same slot across Canada? Or would he broadcast live, thereby allowing segments for open-line calls? But what would Eastern stations program while waiting for Drex to begin in their respective time zones?
When the job was posted a few weeks ago, it was for a show to run in the same time slot C2C ran. 10P -2A Pacific (1A-5A Eastern). There is no point to doing a show with pre-recorded interviews where listeners can't participate. But then again, NW has tried to do away with listeners calling in the past few years in favour of The Buzz Line and social media.
This will be a network show, running on 7 Corus stations between Vancouver and Toronto. I don't think bike lanes on Vancouver streets will be a big topic.
